What Vi learned lately.

Vi runs on your Claude plan, too.

She has always run on ChatGPT. If you pay for Claude instead, she runs on that now. Either way she uses the plan you already have, so there’s no second AI bill.

Vi answers while she works.

A long job used to keep her busy until it was done. Now she can take it on, answer your next text right away, and come back with the result when it’s ready.

Vi gets to know you on the job.

Her first week is like a new hire’s. She looks things up before she asks you, saves small questions to ask a few at a time, and tells you what she assumed. Each evening that week, she emails you a short recap.

Pause Vi and she stops right away.

Tap Pause and she stops what she’s doing, and nothing she had scheduled goes out while she’s paused. When you start her again, she sees what was cut off and picks up only what still needs doing.

You decide what gets Vi’s attention.

Simple rules sort everything that comes in. Your texts reach her at once, other texts as soon as she’s free, and email only when a rule says it matters. You can see the rules and change them any time.

Vi screens texts from numbers she doesn’t know.

When a new number texts her, she’s polite, asks what it’s about, and checks they are who they say they are. The noise stops with her, and anything important comes straight to you.

Watch Vi work on her computer.

Open her computer from any browser and see what she’s doing as she does it, or take over yourself. You sign in with a code sent to your email.

Vi has a computer of her own.

A phone can text and email. A computer lets her browse websites, fill out forms and put documents together, the way a person at a desk would.

Vi lives on her own phone.

Running Vi used to take a computer and a lot of setup. Now she lives on one small phone of her own: her number, her email, her notes and her files. You text her like you’d text anyone, with nothing to install on yours.

Vi exists.

The first Vi came to life. We texted her, and she texted back. Everything since is her getting better at the job.

What we’re working on

Vi makes phone calls for you.

Some things only get done on the phone. She’s learning to make the call herself, to the restaurant that only takes bookings by phone or the office that never answers email, and to tell you how it went.

Vi uses the apps on her phone.

Her computer covers anything with a website, but some things only happen in an app. She’s learning to use the apps on her phone the way you would, tapping through them to get it done.

Talk things through with Vi, out loud.

Some things are quicker said than texted. She’s learning to ask you for a few minutes now and then, come with her own questions, and talk it all through, so you both end up on the same page.

Vi leaves voicemails.

Her texts are words only. She’s learning to leave a voicemail when a voice says it better, for you or for anyone she’s getting in touch with for you.

Vi signs in without ever seeing the password.

Signing up for things means passwords. She’s learning to let her phone keep them: it makes strong ones, locks them away and fills them in when she signs in, so she never sees them and they can’t slip out in anything she writes.

Let Vi handle it.
